What Is It?

Tamborine Mountain Rainforest Skywalk is a privately owned and run rainforest walk consisting of 30 acres of beautiful rainforest canopies, located beside the beautiful rock-pools of Cedar Creek, on Mt Tamborine.
What makes this particular walk unique however, is the high-tech steel bridges that have been constructed through the highest points of the upper canopy, and the 40 metre cantilever bridge which is located 30 metres above the creek and rainforest below.
The 1.5km walk takes approximately 45 minutes and departs directly from the Eco Gallery – a comprehensive collection of Australian rainforest flora and fauna displays.
Once you exit the Eco Gallery you will immediately find yourself on one of the steel bridges which stretch 300 metres across the rainforest canopy and include many points of interest with information signs along the way.
As you continue walking down the bridges, you will discover the stunning forest floor trail that winds along the canopy floor, where you will see firsthand the pristine and lush rainforest, including various birds and other wildlife.

There are a many stops along the way, including seating and information on the area and the local flora and fauna. At the end of the trail there is a viewing platform where you can look down at the beautiful rocky creek bed.
At the end of the walk you will find yourself back at the information desk, which includes a lovely cafe and a gift shop. It is worth noting that this walk does cost money to enter – check their website for the latest pricing information.

How Long Does It Take?

As mentioned above the 1.5km walk takes approximately 45 minutes at a leisurely pace – however we recommend allowing around 1.5 – 2hrs for the entire experience, including allowing time for a snack and a drink at the cafe after the walk.
