IMG_4790Part of what makes Queens Park in Ipswich so special is the nearby Ipswich Nature Centre (A free zoo where you can see animals up close) and Nerima Gardens (a picture perfect Japanese garden)
IMG_4789The playgrounds design at Queens Park has been influenced greatly by Ipswich city’s coal mining history and features a flying fox, a water pump play area, a Liberty Swing (for people in wheelchairs to enjoy a ride) and a fixed sunken train.
IMG_4791The playground also includes all the usual conventional playground equipment such as slides, swings and climbing structures of course!
IMG_4792Surrounding the playground are some lush, green fields with plenty of trees that provide the perfect, shady spot to set up a picnic blanket.
